Hann Furnishing Ltd Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions were last updated on 22.10.2021 and apply to all purchases, including but not limited to web and phone orders.

Definitions and Interpretation

In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

“Content”Means any and all text, images, audio, video, scripts, code, software, databases, and any other form of information capable of being stored on a computer that appears on, or forms part of, Our Site; and
“We/Us/Our”Means Hann Furnishing Ltd.

1. Payment

All purchases must be paid in full before delivery, and no orders will be fully completed or dispatched until full payment has been received for the goods. All payments must be in pounds Sterling.

Error in Price

If you have placed an order and we notice an error in the price of the Product(s) ordered, we will notify you of this error and give you the option of continuing to purchase the Product(s) at the correct price or cancelling your purchase of the relevant Product(s).  We will not process your order until we have your instructions.

2. Delivery

The delivery charge is £49 for delivery within the central belt, outside this, a price will have to be obtained from the delivery company, please note that assembly of wardrobes and other large items is not included in the delivery price (If you require these services, please call us for full details and price). Collection can also be arranged on all orders once goods have arrived.

You must inspect all goods on delivery and advise us of any shortfalls or visible damage, We cannot accept any claim for damage where the product is not unwrapped and inspected at the time of delivery. Products that do not meet customers’ expectations will only be returnable for an exchange at the Company’s discretion.

3. Delivery dates

All delivery dates quoted at the time of your order are estimates. Whilst We make every effort to ensure that We honour estimated delivery dates, circumstances beyond our control may cause delivery dates to be changed.

4. Title

Ownership of goods shall remain with Hann Furnishing until the goods have been paid in full and goods have been delivered to your home.

5. Cancelling your order

Once products have been ordered, in most cases, a binding contract with our suppliers has been made to supply or make your product. In this case, a cancellation will be at the discretion of the Company and in most cases if approved, the deposit paid will be lost to cover cancellations fees charged to us by suppliers.

Made-to-order Product(s)

The right to cancel does not apply to any Product(s) which are (i) custom made to your specification and/or clearly personalised, (ii) ordered via our Website by you as a business or individual acting for the purposes of your trade or business, or (iii) any order placed by you in person at any of our stores. 

Mattresses

All mattresses will be delivered to you in plastic wrapping to allow for inspection.  Any mattresses, which have been removed from their original sealed packing will be deemed to have been used and cannot be returned for any reason other than not of satisfactory quality.

6. Storage

We do have the facility to store your product for any length of time agreed upon at the time of purchase. Once this period has come to an end, We shall contact you. An extension to that period of time will be at the Company’s discretion.

If upon two verbal attempts and one written attempt to contact you, with no response from yourself, the product will be returned to free stock, which means that it will be made available to other customers. In this case, We cannot guarantee immediate product availability when you are ready to take the order.

7. Product Characteristics

Whilst every effort will be made to match all colours and finishes, goods are supplied on the understanding that there may be shade and grain variations, particularly with natural products such as wood.

Due to the nature of solid wood, changes in relative humidity may cause some slight movement in the timbers. Great care has been taken to reduce the incidence of such occurrence, but by the very nature of the solid timbers, complete elimination is impossible.

All our timbers are dried to acceptable moisture contents. However, wood is a natural fibre and can never be 100% guaranteed against small amounts of movement. It is extremely rare that the structural integrity of our furniture will be compromised. 

Leather products are made from quality hides and may not be uniform in colour or texture and will show natural marks and scars.

Variation in the product specification 

Please note: Products pictured on our website are for demonstration and display purposes. Therefore We would always ask customers to take the opportunity to view products and samples in person.

Due to the shortage of certain new raw materials, some products supplied by the Company could differ slightly in actual construction from the goods shown in sample or pattern form. The Company state any changes that are made will result in a performance of an equally high or improved standard. The quality coding will remain the same, and the quality guarantee will continue to apply.

8. Guarantee

The manufacturer guarantees all goods supplied for 12 months from the date of delivery in respect of faulty workmanship or materials. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. General care

The product(s) supplied are to be used for the purpose and manner they were designed. Most manufacturers include care and maintenance advice with their products, which should be read and followed. We will accept no responsibility for damage caused by cleaning if the care and maintenance instructions have not been followed. General day to day cleaning should be made with a virtually dry cloth, NOT one that has high water content, as this shall damage the product(s). Please avoid furniture polishes such as Mr Sheen etc; this will dry out the timber.

10. Interest-Free Credit

Hann Furnishing provide Interest free credit, this service is provided by Hitachi Capital PLC.

To qualify for our credit option, you must fit the following criteria:

  • You must be over 18 years of age
  • Be in permanent employment over 16 hours per week
  • Be able to pay the deposit by credit or debit card
  • Hold a bank or building society current account for completing the direct debit section
  • Furniture ordered must be delivered to the current home address
  • Be a UK resident for a minimum of 12 months

If your application is successful, you will be invited to sign a copy of the agreement. However, the decision may take a little longer to be processed with some applications as Hitachi may want to do further checks. In this case, a member of our sales department would keep you up to date. Should your finance be unsuccessful, a member of our team will contact you to complete payment before We process your order.

Ordering from the Website

By Using Our Site, You Accept These Terms and Conditions

Together with any other documents referred to herein, these Terms and Conditions set out the terms of use governing your use of this website hannfurnishing.co.uk (“Our Site”).

Your use of Our Site indicates your agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you must stop using Our Site immediately.

In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions have the following meanings:

1. Payment

All purchases must be paid in full before delivery, and no orders will be fully completed or dispatched until full payment has been received for the goods. All payments must be in pounds Sterling.

We will continue to own and reserve the right to repossess any goods sold from our website until payment has been received and cleared in full. Payments are accepted on most credit or debit cards.

We take all reasonably care to ensure that the price for each Product is correct at the time when the relevant information is entered onto the system. 

Error in Price

If we discover an error in any price, we will update the Website as soon as reasonably practicable.  If you have placed an order and we notice an error in the price of the Product(s) ordered, we will notify you of this error and give you the option of continuing to purchase the Product(s) at the correct price or cancelling your purchase of the relevant Product(s).  We will not process your order until we have your instructions.

2. Terms of Sale

All purchases made are subject to these terms and conditions, and they do not affect your statutory rights.

3. Returns Policy

3.1. You are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period on orders placed on the internet, starting from the date you placed the order and ending 14 days after receiving the goods.

3.2. You must inform us in writing by email during the cooling-off period that you are cancelling the contract.

3.3. If you cancel the order and the goods have been dispatched and are on route to you, We may not be able to cancel the delivery. In this case, you are responsible for the goods when they are delivered. Keep them wrapped up in original packaging and make arrangements for them to be returned to us as soon as possible and in any event, within 30 days of delivery to you. Goods are refunded within 30 days less the cost of delivery and the collection fee applied at the same rate.

3.4. If the goods have been delivered to you and you cancel the order within 14 working days of delivery, you are responsible for them. You must make arrangements for them to be returned to us as soon as possible and in any event, within 30 days of delivery to you. All Products must be returned in original packaging. When We receive the goods back in “as new” condition, We will refund the money you have paid less the delivery and collection cost.

3.5 Special order and bespoke items are non-returnable. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Made-to-order Product(s)

The right to cancel does not apply to any Product(s) which are (i) custom made to your specification and/or clearly personalised, (ii) ordered via our Website by you as a business or individual acting for the purposes of your trade or business, or (iii) any order placed by you in person at any of our stores.

We are sure you will be delighted with the quality and style of your furniture but if you need to return your items following delivery, please inform us within 7 days from the date of delivery and our delivery team will collect the items to be returned at the next available opportunity (subject to a collection fee charged at the same rate as the delivery charge applied to your order).

Once the goods have been received back into our warehouse in the unused condition, you will be refunded via the original payment method less the delivery and collection fee if applicable.

Goods collected from our warehouse should be returned to the warehouse within 7 days. We reserve the right to withhold part of your refund if goods are returned to us damaged. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5. General care

The product(s) supplied are to be used for the purpose and manner they were designed. Most manufacturers include care and maintenance advice with their products, which should be read and followed. No responsibility will be accepted for damage caused by cleaning if the care and maintenance instructions have not been followed. General day to day cleaning should be made with a virtually dry cloth NOT one that has a high water content, as this shall damage the product(s). Please avoid furniture polishes such as Mr Sheen etc.; this will dry out the timber.

6.1 You may link to any page on Our Site

6.2 Links to Our Site must be fair and lawful, and you must not take unfair advantage of Our reputation or attempt to damage Our reputation.

6.3 You must not link to Our Site in a manner that suggests any association with Us (where there is none) or any endorsement or approval from Us (where there is none).

6.4 Your link should not use any logos or trademarks displayed on Our Site without Our express written permission.

6.5 You must not frame or embed Our Site on another website without Our express written permission.

6.6 You may not link to Our Site from another website the main content of which is unlawful; obscene; offensive; inappropriate; dishonest; defamatory; threatening; racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory; that promotes violence, racial hatred, or terrorism; that infringes intellectual property rights; or that We deem to be otherwise objectionable.

9.2 If you are a business user (i.e. you are using Our Site in the course of business or for commercial purposes), to the fullest extent permissible by law, We accept no liability for any loss or damage, whether foreseeable or otherwise, in contract, tort (including negligence), for breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising out of or in connection with the use of (or inability to use) Our Site or the use of or reliance upon any Content included on Our Site.

If you fail to comply with the provisions of this Part 11, you will be in breach of these Terms and Conditions. We may take one or more of the following actions in response:

  • Suspend or terminate your right to use Our Site;
  • Issue you with a written warning;
  • Take legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of any and all relevant costs on an indemnity basis resulting from your breach;
  • Take further legal action against you, as appropriate;
  • Disclose such information to law enforcement authorities as required or as We deem reasonably necessary; and/or
  • Any other actions which We deem reasonably appropriate (and lawful).
  • We hereby exclude any and all liability arising out of any actions that We may take (including, but not limited to those set out above in Part 10.2) in response to your breach.

We may alter and update Our Site (or any part of it) at any time, including removing and/or adding products, adjusting prices, changing payment methods and so on.

13. Changes to these Terms and Conditions

13.1 We may alter these Terms and Conditions at any time. If We do so, details of the changes will be highlighted at the top of this page. As explained above, your use of Our Site constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Consequently, any changes made to these Terms and Conditions will apply to your use of Our Site the first time you use it after the changes have been implemented. You are therefore advised to check this page every time you use Our Site.

13.2 If any part of the current version of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with any previous version(s), the current version shall prevail unless We explicitly state otherwise.

IF YOU EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITHIN 7 DAYS FOLLOWING DELIVERY 

If you have a problem following delivery that was not noted by the driver or noticed at the time of delivery, please get in touch with us at hello@hannfurnishing.co.uk detailing the issue, including your invoice details/order number and attach photographic evidence, if possible, We will respond as soon as We can and in any instance within 2 working days.

If it is deemed that there is an obvious fault that has not been caused by misuse or damage after delivery, We will offer a refund, discount or exchange to resolve the situation for you.

IF YOU EXPERIENCE A PROBLEM WITHIN THE FIRST TWELVE MONTHS FOLLOWING DELIVERY 

If you have a problem, please get in touch with us at hello@hannfurnishing.co.uk detailing the issue, including your invoice details/order number and attach photographic evidence, if possible, We will respond as soon as We can and in any instance within 2 working days.

If it is deemed that there is an obvious fault, which has not been caused by misuse or damage after delivery, We will offer a replacement or send out a furniture repair specialist.

The specialised furniture repair company is fully trained in the care, repair and maintenance of wood and carry tools and materials on their van so repairs and repairs can be carried out on site.

Risk of damage to or loss of the products will pass to the buyer upon delivery, We, therefore, reserve the right to refuse the exchange or repair of an item deliberately damaged or misused following delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights.
